Services

Four ways we support your development.

What this involves

  • Understanding the product concept and target properties.
  • Considering raw materials and ingredient compatibility.
  • Developing prototypes for review.
  • Refining the formulation based on agreed feedback.
  • Discussing scale-up considerations within the agreed scope.

How we work

Brief → Develop → Evaluate → Refine

Scope and deliverables are agreed for each specific assignment.

  1. 01

    Brief

We understand your concept, target properties, constraints and what success looks like.

  2. 02

    Develop

We build a formulation direction and laboratory prototypes within the agreed scope.

  3. 03

    Evaluate

Prototypes are reviewed against the brief, with clear observations to inform decisions.

  4. 04

    Refine

We adjust the formulation based on agreed feedback until the next step is clear.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is a skeleton formulation?

A starting framework that outlines ingredient functions, a basic formulation structure, a suggested processing sequence and key considerations. It is intended to be adapted and optimised for your brief, raw materials and manufacturing conditions.

Can you develop a formulation from our product brief?

Yes. We work from your concept and target properties to develop a formulation direction and prototypes for evaluation, refined against agreed feedback.

Can you help assess a failed batch?

Yes. We review the formulation and batch history, assess possible causes and propose suitable laboratory trials. Whether a batch can be recovered depends on the specific issue and quality assessment.

Do you provide training for junior R&D staff?

Yes. Training focuses on raw materials, their formulation behaviour and recognising common formulation problems. Topics are discussed according to your team’s needs.

Which product categories do you work on?

Colour cosmetics, personal care and suncare.

What information should we share to begin?

A brief overview of your product concept or challenge, the product category and any key constraints. Detailed formulations and confidential information can be discussed separately.

Are prototypes ready for commercial production?

Not by default. Commercial readiness depends on the project and on appropriate stability, safety, performance, regulatory and manufacturing evaluation.

Let’s work on what comes next.
